This is where participants from almost all European countries 5 days to be kicked around, inspired and socialize. The next meeting will be held in Greece 22-26 april. Obviously, Sweden on site!

We like our members and urge you to seek, new and old, regardless of previous experience. Applications will be reviewed by a nominating committee, the lack of space are ranked applications including for previous commitment and personal goals of the meeting.

For this meeting, the Nomination Committee places extra emphasis on the fact that you will be allowed to participate without previous experience from international meetings. They will also give an extra plus on the edge to you who want to develop the association's European cooperation and contribute to European medical students having more opportunities for joint involvement..

Human Rights Day

On December 10 of every year World Human Rights Day – one day to pay attention to all human rights and equal value. This is of course a great day for Scorp, Working Group on Human Rights and Peace, and we want as many people as possible will mark this day with us.

Therefore, a group of medical students from 11 different countries have developed “Human Rights Day 2015 Manual“, where the tips on activities to be held before, and, the big day. If it does not suit you organizing a physical event, you can still keep up with the virtual in this international campaign, for example, by joining the Facebookeventet !

You can also easily get your profile pic social media to reflect a human right that you think are important in this side (thanks to IFMSAs counterpart in Turkey).

Now the application to the General Assembly 2016 finally open!

General Assembly (GA) IFMSAs is the largest international meeting forum. This is where participants from around 100 countries over 6 days to be kicked around, inspired and socialize. Nästa möte hålls i Malta 2-8 mars. Obviously, Sweden on site!

We like our members and urge you to seek, new and old, regardless of previous experience. Applications will be reviewed by a nominating committee, the lack of space are ranked applications including for previous commitment and personal goals of the meeting. The Nomination Committee is also trying to bring a delegation with an even spread of kårortsrepresentanter.

On the GA working representatives of our working groups to improve their projects and spread them to new countries. Stora beslut som berör hela federationen tas och nästa års Executive Board väljs. In connection with the meeting theme, not yet released, is also held lectures and other fun happenings. All this mixed up with the social program consisting of unbeatable celebrations (guaranteed multicultural elements) and opportunities to get to know people from all over the world.

Charge: Mötesavgiften, 395 Euro, står du själv för. IFMSA-Sweden will sponsor parts of selected delegates' fees, according to the Nomination Committee's ranking. Resa till/från Malta bekostas av delegaten själv. Du kan läsa mer på mötets officiella hemsida.

Välkommen till Nationell Helg med IFMSA!

I oktober går stapeln av för årets tredje och sista Nationella Helg. Det är IFMSA Örebro som har i uppdrag att anordna det stora kalaset. The 2:a till 4:the October samlar vi alla IFMSA-aktiva från hela Sverige i kungliga staden Örebro.

Här kommer vi få inspirerande gemensamma föreläsningar, workshops i professionella färdigheter (denna gång: medlemsrekrytering, normkritik och Do No Harm-principen), sittning med spex (of course). Welcome to Global Health Night 2015

Global Health Night is a dynamic and interactive event, dedicated to Global Health. The participants will be presented with a broad introduction to different career opportunities within the field of Global Health. Everyone who has an interest in Global health is welcome, but the event is especially aimed at university level students as well as employees, researchers and teachers at Karolinska Institutet.

The evening will start with interactive lectures with high profile professionals within the field of Global Health. After the lectures there will be a mingle, were NGOs such as Unicef, Red Cross, Operation Smile and other organizations connected to Global health will get the opportunity to present their work and mingle with the audience. This will give the participants a broad introduction to different ways of working with health in low-and middle- income countries. Drinks and light food will be provided during the mingle.

Lastly, there will be small focus groups discussing different topics within Global health. These groups will have a limited number of participants and will require pre- registration.

Global Health Night offers a unique opportunity for acquiring a broad insight into Global Health, both as a career choice and research area. Do not miss this unique opportunity to network and interact with high- profile professionals and organisations within the field of Global health!

Do you want to help change the world? - a candidate to IFMSA-Sweden Board!

Are you passionate about IFMSA and is full of ideas for how the organization can develop? Have you been active in any of our projects at the local level and want to take the step to deepen your commitment by taking on a national responsibility? Are you an association who loves meetings and working within an organization? Or are you totally new to the organization's work but want to develop as a leader, while contributing to your specific experience and knowledge? Do not hesitate to seek a post in the next National Board for IFMSA-Sweden!

Directors and officers elected during the election meeting at NH in Örebro 2-4 October. The rest of autumn is the incoming board parallel to the current during a handover period, until the annual meeting in February 2016, when the new board takes over and leads IFMSA-Sweden for the coming year until the next annual meeting in early 2017.

WHAT DOES THE VARIOUS ITEMS?

Below is a brief description of the various items, For a more detailed description, please contact the respective board member / officer, alternatively please contact the Nomination Committee.

Board Positions

The board is expected to attend the board meetings, 4 per year, and be available throughout the year.

Circulation

President

Chairman of the organization's public face and sitting on the ultimate responsibility. He has an overview of the whole organization at both local, and national level, coordinates the work of the Board and convenes the board meetings held about 4 / year, and in addition, meetings with only the central government.

Vice President of Internal Affairs (VPI)

VPI is the central figure in the internal work of the Board. This person coordinates the communication between all members of the board and is lokalordförandenas encountered stone. It is VPIs responsibility to plan and coordinate national meetings, Board weekends and kick-off. VPI also responsible for a newsletter sent to the association's letter every month.

Vice President of External Affairs (VPE)

VPE is a completely new board of directors, and the role is to be a IFMSA-Sweden's public face, both internationally and with external organizations. As VPE represents one IFMSA-Sweden at international meetings, and is responsible for these along with Chairman. A previous involvement in IFMSA-Sweden rewarded here!

SECRETARY GENERAL

IFMSA-Sweden's Secretary General, working primarily with sponsoring and PR. Moreover act “gensek” Secretary of the Board meetings held about 4 times / year. Gensek working closely with the treasurer of the work sponsored and economy. A passion for sponsored search is much more important than previously IFMSA-commitment if you want to search for this record.

Cashier

The treasurer is the person in IFMSA-Sweden who sits on the ultimate responsibility for the organization's financial dealings. The item includes continuous accounting, the compilation of financial statements and accounting as well as the compilation of next year's budget. As treasurer works closely with a gensek in matters of finance and sponsorship.

Nationally responsible for the Working Group on Public Health (NPO)

NPO is responsible for public health group in IFMSA-Sweden and supports projects that are in the group and pushing forward the development and start-up of new projects. NPO has an active communication with the local managers of different localities and individuals responsible for the individual projects. In the national meetings, the NPO's responsibility to plan and hold a program for public health group as well as participate in meetings and represent this. NPO should also keep themselves updated on the work being done internationally, and bring it down to the national and local levels.

National head of the working group on human rights and peace (NORP)

NORP charge of the working group on human rights and peace in IFMSA-Sweden and supports projects that are in the group and pushing forward the development and start-up of new projects within the group. NORP to have active communication with the local managers of different localities and individuals responsible for the individual projects. In the national meetings, it NORPs responsibility to plan and hold a program on human rights and peace group and attend meetings and represent the same. NORP should also keep themselves updated on the work being done internationally, and bring it down to the national and local levels.

National head of the working group on sexual and reproductive health and rights (NORA)

The Board has two Noras working together, one selected during IFMSA-Sweden caucus and the second entry is filled by Love Akutens Vice President. NORA charge of the working group on sexual and reproductive health and rights within IFMSA-Sweden and supports projects that are in the group and pushing forward the development and start-up of new projects. NORA has an active communication with the local managers of different localities and individuals responsible for the individual projects. In the national meetings is Nora's responsibility to plan and maintain a program for the working group and attend meetings and represent this. NORA will also keep themselves updated on the work being done internationally, and bring it down to the national and local levels.

Nationally responsible for clinical exchanges, incoming students (NEO-in)

NRC-in charge of the part of IFMSA-Sweden exchanges that take in foreign students to Sweden at the clinic exchange. NEO-in:The main task is to coordinate the exchange m.h.a. the local exchange liable. NRC-in is also responsible for documentation, including contract signing, which takes place before the exchange takes place, together with NRC-out. NRC-in works closely with NRC-out and NORE, and a big part of the international effort, as this is of great importance to the work around the exchange.

Nationally responsible for clinical exchanges, outgoing students (NEO-out)

NRC-out charge students traveling to other countries in exchange with IFMSA-Sweden. NRC-out works to advertise exchange sites, and allocate to the applicant for a yield. When the items allocated to it NRC-out responsibility for all communication between the students and the host countries work in a good way. NRC-out is also responsible for including the signing of contracts with NRC-in.

Nationally responsible for research exchanges (NORE NORE-in and-out)

NORE is responsible for research exchange, and the division of responsibilities between the input and output corresponding to the students in the clinic yield. NORE is working in close cooperation with its local managers for research exchange and coordinate with them exchange for incoming students. While NORE also responsible for the communication between the outgoing students and their host country works. Just as NRC records should NORE take part in writing the replacement contract for the international meetings.

The volunteers work closely with the Board and is expected to the extent it is possible to participate at this year's four physical meetings, and will be available on the e-mail throughout the year. The officials, however, have no voting rights on the Board.

Trainingsansvarig

Training Manager coordinates IFMSA-Sweden's training activities, and conveys the contact with all active trainers. Training Manager is responsible for the trainings held in NH, and to encourage more members to train as trainers.

Website Manager

This record means merely that one must be responsible for the website; act support and assistance regarding updating and development of this and answer confused board members' questions. Perfect for those who like this with websites is super fun and want in a niche way take part in the national work!

project manager

The project manager acts as a liaison between the board and the association's projects, mainly in terms of newer projects are in early stages and not yet found in a workgroup. The responsibility lies in guiding projects in the process of applying for official IFMSA-Sweden project status, keep an eye on what comes on the application for project funding and activity reporting, and together with the Board to develop and improve the overall structure of the club 'project. It is a great advantage if you are looking for the experience of working on projects of IFMSA-Sweden, or maybe in some other similar organization.

operations Accountant

As business accountant review the work of the Board, reading protocols and guidelines and ensures that operations are conducted in a democratic and good way, and supports the Board in organizational and Statutory related issues. That's fine with previous experience on the Boards of IFMSA. There is 2-3 activity records auditor.

Valberedare

As valberedare you are part of a group of about three people (least 2) to talk to members, pep people, seek advice and work out a proposal to the Board for the coming financial.
